Four waves of data were collected for all three cohorts with 4-year intervals between interviews. Each cohort was interviewed over one year starting with the cohort aged 20-24 years old.

Populations
The population is composed of individuals living in the Australian Capital Territory and the neighbouring town of Queanbeyan in the adjoining state of New South Wales and who are aged 20-24 years (birth years 1975-79) at the start of the study.
