Urban Exposome Harmonization Initiative
The objective of the EUCAN-Connect Urban Exposome Harmonization Initiative was to estimate the associations between the urban exposome during pregnancy and childhood and neurodevelopmental outcomes, specifically cognitive and psychomotor function and emotional and behavioral issues in children. The possible mediator effects of air pollution and noise were also investigated.
The intiative included European and Canadian longitudinal birth cohorts, with urban exposure assessment assessed at participant's adresses during pregnancy and childhood and at least one measure of the outcomes of interest during childhood.
